A hilarious new hip-hop musical, revisiting the career of washed-up megastar, C-Dub.
It’s the dress rehearsal for C-Dub’s reunion tour, following his very public breakup and his record company ditching him. His backing dancers are recent drama-school graduates with their own agendas; one is a crazed fan, and the other a fame-hungry diva. Clutching at the remnants of his career, C-Dub’s reputation hangs in the balance. Packed with hip-hop anthems and dazzling dance numbers, this ludicrously energetic show asks how far we will go for fame, fortune and love.
A brand new show, previewing at Reading Fringe Festival for two nights only this Summer.
The team of creatives includes Rowan Ilsley (choreographer of the hugely successful Snakes! The Musical), Chris Snow (Artistic Director at FreeRange, and freelance Producer – recent credits as Producer or Associate include The Picture of John Gray at The Old Red Lion, Thark and The Dead Wait at Park Theatre), Isabel Brodie (Bea, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Alternative Queen of Reading), and emerging composer Ed Williams.
